When we visited Mexico earlier in the year we had nachos and guacamole every day (sometimes twice a day – it would be rude not to!). We wanted to do our on take on nachos, with a simple recipe you can do at home.
This is an easy variation on normal nachos using shop bought corn tortillas. Dean came up with this idea and when we tried making them they worked really well!
Try these nachos with our guacamole, refried beans or sweetcorn, chilli and coriander dip.
Simple Homemade Nachos
Ingredients
- 8 small corn tortilla wraps
- 1 tbsp sunflower oil
Instructions
- Cut each tortilla wrap into 8 triangles using either a pizza cutter or a sharp knife.
- Put the sunflower oil into a large non-stick frying pan, cooking about 5-6 at one time – do not to crowd the pan. Turn them all and fry until golden brown.
- Drain the nachos on a paper towel allowing them to crisp up further.
- Sprinkle with salt, serve and enjoy!
