Since Christmas, we have been trying to be good, so I haven’t really been baking much.
Now all the Christmas chocolate has gone I thought I’d make us a treat for valentines. Everyone loves a good brownie, don’t they?
We’ve tried some miso-based desserts at restaurants recently and really enjoyed them, so I thought I’d try adding it to brownies. The miso adds a nice salted caramel sort of flavour to things, which is always good!
I didn’t really know what to expect from the brownies, especially texture-wise. But as soon as I opened the oven door, I thought “wow these look soooo good”!
Once they had cooled down we couldn’t wait to try one – they tasted amazing! They were really fudgy but crunchy with the nuts.
As we’re trying to be good, I gave most of them away to friends and family. We got some great feedback, so I was very happy! Give them a go, you won’t be disappointed.
