Jackfruit Kimchi Baos
Fancy a meat-free treat? These delicious, quick and easy vegan jackfruit kimchi baos are for you!
Ingredients
Jackfruit filling
- 225 g tinned jackfruit
- 12 g fresh ginger grated
- 2 tsp kimchi paste
- 1 tsp garlic puree
Slaw
- 60 g cabbage shredded
- 3 radish sliced
- 1 small carrot shredded
- 1/2 lime juice
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 handful fresh coriander
Extras
- 4 baos
- 2 spring onions sliced lengthways
- 1 small red chilli sliced
- 1 tsp powdered seaweed (Aonori)
Instructions
- Place the baos into a steamer and follow the packet instruction to cook.
- In a bowl mix all the ingredients for your slaw together and set aside.
- In another bowl add all the ingredients of your jackfruit filling and mix together.
- When your baos are nearly ready, heat through the jackfruit filling in a frying pan for few minutes.
- Spoon the jackfruit filling on to your bao topped with the slaw, spring onion and red chilli if you wish for more heat.
- Sprinkle some seaweed powder on top of each bao. Eat with the rest of the slaw on the side. Enjoy!
